About The Bank Note Gallery

The Bank Note Gallery is a unique, one-of-a-kind Gallery devoted to the promotion of the beauty of early United States paper currency and the history represented. We highlight each individual bank note as a masterpiece of the engraver's art and design and present it along with a similar photograph, painted or engraved portrait of the person appearing on that note.

Each bank note is greatly enlarged from a crisp, clean, uncirculated original note (the finest examples available). We enlarge the note's obverse (front) and reverse (back) to allow easier examination of all that is to be found on each, in an effort to generate a deeper appreciation of all that was put into the overall design.

Paper currency of the mid 19th to the early 20th centuries remains some of the most beautifully designed, engraved and printed money in the world and collectors of all ages seek after and pay high prices for the finest examples. Today, the majority of the best known examples have been purchased by collectors, investors and museums and are no longer available for purchase. Most of the finest quality bank notes have become too expensive to own. With that in mind, we offer rare and exemplory examples in a framed Presentation we call "Historical Currency Presentations," designed for collectors, students of history and everyone who finds the beauty and allure of paper money irresistible.

Each Historical Currency Presentation is carefully and professionally hand-made to your special order. We do not warehouse multiple finished products. From start to finish, each Presentation is assembled with painstaking attention to details and no inferior piece will ever be shipped to a buyer. Our work remains museum quality, using the finest materials which will guarantee your satisfaction for a lifetime, and beyond. We use non-glare glass as standard upgrade which allows greater viewing pleasure in any indoor environment. All of our Presentations are numbered as part of limited-edition designs. Once the edition has been satisfied, that design will no longer be produced.

Our Gallery of Historical Currency Presentations is not limited to the few examples shown on our site. We show only the most popular designs. We are prepared to make for you any design you desire, limited only by your imagination. For example, we have archives of images that include Silver and Gold Certificates, Demand Notes, Treasury Notes, Federal Reserve Notes, Fractional Currency, Confederate Notes and MPCs (Military Payment Certificates). Again, we always use the best examples: crisp, uncirculated original bank notes free of folds, tears, stains, dirt, wear or other problems that would detract from or spoil the note's overall eye appeal and beauty. Sometimes we have to wait many years for the perfect specimen to become available but our business is about quality and that's what we deliver.

We look forward to having you as a satisfied customer and thank you for visiting our Gallery.

Sincerely,
James Marck
